The 911SC
1978-1983
The 911SC or Super Carrera replaced the Carrera in 1978. It used a 3.0L, which made 180hp. The SC was more of a race car than a street car, it wasn’t that comfortable, and Porsche tried to reduce the weight as much as possible. In 1983, Porsche introduced the first 911 convertible, the 911SC Cabriolet. They became very popular and high in demand as soon as they were introduced.
