The Porsche 911 T
1968-1973
The 911T was introduced to offer a lower priced 911 to the market. The T stood for Touring, not Turbo, not Targa. You could get the 911T as a Targa or Coupe. The 911T had a 2.0 L engine but it only made 110hp. In 1970, the engine size was increased to 2195cc, that gave it 125hp. In 1972, all 911s were produced with 2341cc engines and which gave the 911T 140hp. Also in 1972 the 911T and all the other 911s were given the 915 transmission, before then, the 911T had a different transmission than the other 911s.
