911 Carrera
1984-1989
The 911 SC was replaced with
the 911 Carrera in 1984, and was produced with a 3.2 liter engine
which made 230hp. There were a lot of new parts for 1984, almost
75% of the car. The brakes, and the heating system were just a
few of them of the upgrades. It was the first year for a 911
Carrera Cabriolet since its was introduced the year before as the
911 SC Cabriolet. A new option was the Turbo Look, which looked
exactly like a Turbo. In 1985, the Turbo Look was produced on
Coupes, Targas, or Cabriolets. Also in 1985, the oil-cooler was
changed and the opening in the bumper increased to furnish the
air needed. In 1986, the Cabriolet was introduced with an
electric top. In 1987, a new transmission, called G 50 was
introduced.
